Homes built before 1978
Paint from before 1978 can contain lead, and sanding or scraping it makes dust that’s harmful, especially to kids. In those homes I stick to painting that doesn’t disturb the old paint, and I’ll tell you plainly if a job needs a lead-safe certified painter.
Evening painting works well
Paint a bedroom on a Friday evening and it’s dry to sleep in by Saturday night. Weekday evenings are good for trim and doors, weekends for full rooms.

You can pick the color and buy it, or I can pick it up at cost and bring the receipt.
How long does a room take?
A small bedroom or bathroom is usually one long weekend day for two coats, less if it’s the same color.
