Questions
The things people ask before booking. Still wondering about something? Call or text.
What hours do you work?
Weeknights 5:30–8:30 pm, Saturdays 8 am–8:30 pm, and Sundays 1–5 pm. Outdoor jobs like gutters and decks go on weekends, when there’s daylight.
How far do you travel?
Ashland and Kentucky towns within about 30 miles: Catlettsburg, Flatwoods, Russell, Raceland, Worthington, Greenup, South Shore and Grayson. If you’re farther out, call and ask.
How do I get a price?
Each service page lists what’s included. For a quick number, text a photo of the job. Bigger or unclear jobs get a free estimate visit. Either way, you’ll know the price before any work starts.
Do you do electrical or plumbing work?
No. Kentucky requires a licensed electrician, plumber or HVAC technician for that work, so I don’t take those jobs. I’ll tell you up front and suggest who to call.
Can I book a visit for my mom or dad?
Yes. Put their address and phone number in the booking form with a note that you’re booking for them. I’ll call them to confirm before I come.
How do I pay?
When the job is done and you’ve looked it over. Cash, check, card, Venmo or Cash App.
Do I need to be home?
For indoor jobs, yes, at least at the start and the end. For gutters and outdoor fixes, no. I’ll text you photos when I’m done.
Do you bring the materials?
I bring tools, anchors, screws, caulk and patching supplies. For bigger items, you can buy them, or I can pick them up at cost and bring the receipt.
Is there a handyman license in Kentucky?
Kentucky doesn’t have a statewide handyman license. The state licenses specific trades like electrical, plumbing and HVAC, which is why those are on my won’t-do list.
Will you let me know when you’re on the way?
Yes. I’ll text when I leave, so you’re not stuck waiting by the window.
